Touch Me In The Morning

Okay, you caught me... I'm just randomly choosing song titles off of my iTunes. But, it still sort of matches the photos. In fact, it's a perfect match (especially if you know the words of the song).

Moon River, Wider Than A Mile

Krista thought it would be cool to shoot a contemporary homage to Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany's. She had a guitar and a head scarf; I had a windowsill. And both of us knew the words to Moon River.

I'm A Model, You Know What I Mean

So, on these Photo Days, everyone takes turns photographing and modeling. There are definitely some of us who love doing both. Sadly, I'm not someone who hides behind the camera because they don't like being in front of it. What can I say? I'm a ham. At least I'm honest about it. Plus, having my picture taken by these fellow photographers also means someone does my hair and make-up. It's like a free day of pampering. Here are some photos from last week....

I love these ones of Jay dancing. I love the movement. And all that hair!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

First of all, I apologize for not posting in a while. I've got plenty of photos, but it's been way too hot in my apartment to sit in front of the computer all day to work on them! Last week we had our second Photo Day, which was very successful. It's just a great way for my friends and I to hang out, have lunch, and collaborate with each other. You can't beat that. Unfortunately, it rained off and on all day, so a lot of our outdoor plans were cancelled. We needed to find creative ways to utilize the indoors. So, what happens when you give four different women a pair of rainbow suspenders?

We had it all, just like Bogey & Bacall...

I can't help it... I'm a sucker for cheesy soft rock. This past week I photographed two talented actors needing updated headshots. I am so lucky to be able to do what I do. I love people. I know that sounds silly, but it's true (well, for the most part - working in a somewhat retail environment soured me a little). I guess I could best be described as that rare person who loves first dates; I love meeting people and finding out about them and seeing if I can figure out what makes them tick. I don't mind the small talk. So, when I have the opportunity to photograph adults, it's pretty exciting. Without further ado, allow me to introduce you to Glenna and Joe.

GLENNA

This is Glenna and her puppy, Tia. So cute.

JOE
For Joe's shoot, we went into Fenway Park and just walked around, discovering all the nooks & crannies we could take pictures. It was a lot of fun, and great exercise!

This guy decided to join in. For only $1 he sang us a great song about the Red Sox winning the game that day. Well worth it.

Saturday In the Park

Okay, so it wasn't really Saturday, and we weren't technically in a park, but it's not easy coming up with witty song lines and titles for each one of these posts. These are some of my favorite photos from my shoot with Jake and Ellie, siblings extraordinaire!

(check out Jake's hair in this photo!)

Send In The Clowns

Okay, so every kid needs to go to a birthday party with a clown at least once. What happens when the birthday girl is terrified?

Luckily, the clown was like a toddler whisperer and knew just what to do to get Sophie to relax. All the kids (and the adults) had a blast. You have to admit, no matter how old you get, magic is still pretty cool. How on earth do they do those tricks?! And no one can resist the pull of face painting...

They Say It's Your Birthday...

Little Sophie turned two this month! I took her first official portrait when she was only about twelve days old. I can't believe how much she's grown up! At the same time, I can't believe she's only been around for two years... Funny how your mind can play time tricks on you like that. To celebrate the occasion, her parents threw a fun and food-filled party in her honor. In between munchies, I managed to capture some of the day.

This is Sophie's big sister, Abbie.

She Sells Seashells

This is Kelly. The last time she really got to play on the beach, she was just an infant. During this visit, she really got to enjoy it!

The Weather is Here

Last weekend, I ventured down to Cape Cod to photograph the extended Hughes family. We were a little worried when it was downpouring, but the skies cleared up and we were able to play on the beach. Here are some of my favorites from the day...
