There's a Festival Today
That's a very obscure line from a Livingston Taylor song "Get Out of Bed," which in this weather, it's very hard to do. I was supposed to have a shoot this morning, but as it was scheduled to be outside, we decided to fall back on our raindate instead. It's gross out. I guess you have to take your chances when you live in New England. Unfortunately, the Enka Fair is in town this weekend. The Enka Fair comes around every year, and just about every year it rains. You'd like to think they'd change the date, but they don't. The other day, while they were still setting up, I went over and took some photos. Here they are!

Galladium Arcadium
This past weekend was the Opening Day of the Galladium, a wiffle ball extravaganza of sorts. Since I found myself on the roster (what?!), I only snapped some photos of batting practice. It's clear from the looks on these guys' faces, this is serious stuff! Any game that has its own rock anthem theme song is a force to be reckoned with!
The ceremonial first pitch by Mrs. Galatis...
The new Galladium mascot! You can't beat a cheerleader who cheers for both teams!
It's not all about a fast-paced game of wiffle ball... there is a little time to lounge in the sun.
Stay tuned for the next installment of Galladium Arcadium! Hopefully there will be more players, more home runs, and some slip and slide!

It's A Sunshine Day!
This past weekend, I photographed Madison and her family. We shot at home and then went on an adventure to the Public Gardens where we encountered dogs, squirrels, ducks, pigeons, and other small children. The weather was beautiful, despite the forecast for rain, and we were able to make the most out of the day.
I love this photo of dad and Madison looking at each other through a glass-paned door. The way children reach out and put their palm to yours, even though they can't actually touch you, is awesome.
For some reason, I posted these photos all in black and white. They look good in color, too, but I guess only Madison's family will be able to see those!

A Picture is Worth 1000 Words
Over the past few weeks, I have been organizing a display of my photography to hang in the Coffee Shop at the Winchester Hospital. Finally, everything is up and ready. It was such an exciting opportunity. Plus, if any of the photos sell, 25% of the proceeds go to the Hospital, so that's great, too. And if the photos don't sell, everyone knows what they're getting for Christmas! Since most of the photos on this blog are portraits, I thought I would post some of the photos hanging in the "exhibit."
