Life And Love Are The Same

Photographing itty bitty babies is one of the best perks of my job! Before the holidays, I had the pleasure of photographing mom's maternity session. I returned to visit merely twelve days after the family welcomed their new baby home. I think this is the first time I've ever photographed a newborn who stayed awake for the entire session! Normally, at least half the shoot is spent photographing a sleeping baby! I hope this isn't a bad sign for mom and dad!

Baby's first close-up! Look at how precious she is. It's so amazing when such young babies actually seem engaged by the camera. Makes me so happy!

It is always such an honor for me to be present in a family's home right after they bring home a new baby. It can be such a crazy time, so I know it's not always easy to open your door to a stranger, or a near-stranger, but I always find the end result is worth it!
