My life, my love, and my lady is the sea...

This past weekend I travelled north to a state park in Rockport, sort of off the beaten path. It was absolutely beautiful! I was armed with multiple cameras and made the most of the scenery.

Lots of people were out with their dogs that day. This guy caught my eye.

You can find love in all sorts of unexpected places.... A little off, but it looks like a heart to me.

Here's my sillier side. This stone guy clearly wanted to join our photography expedition. He's borrowing my 35 mm camera, for that film quality.

It's so nice to explore new places. As soon as I saw this location, I started brainstorming how I could use it for portraits. My models better watch out!

Baby Love

Last week I had the honor of photographing Harrison who was turning six months old. Here he is in all his glory!

Clearly this is one adorable baby! He smiled easily and did not seem worried about the giant camera in his face. The perfect model!

Bye Bye Beardie!

This is my handsome boyfriend Doug. Over the past few weeks, he has grown a full beard. He wanted to shave it because he was sick of it. I said, "Hey! Shave it into different types of beards and I'll take pictures!" Despite thinking this was strange, he did it. He must really love me.
Here is the progression!
Phase 1.

Phase 2.

Phase 3.

Phase 4.

Phase 5, the Final Phase.

There he is!

Beautiful Boy

The other night I took some photos of Dennis, Lesley, and their son Connor. I've known Dennis and Lesley for 12 years now - yikes- and now I've had the pleasure of photographing Connor over his 1st year. Hidden away in a vault, I probably have some very incriminating photos of Dennis and Lesley, but I won't post those here. Although that would be wicked funny. So, without further ado, here's Connor!

I see a future philosophy major here...

A family photo!

And just so you can see the difference, this is a photo of Connor when he was only 6 months old...

Ashley and Arianna's Baptism

Okay, so I had been using song lyrics and titles for my posts, but there wasn't a lot that popped into my head for a christening. Maybe Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head?

Ashley and Arianna are the daughters of my fantastic friend Yajaira. They were both baptized the 25th of February. Even though it was the same day as the Academy Awards, I made it to the ceremony and managed to capture some of those special moments!

Ashley was so excited for her baptism; Arianna had no idea why some stranger was pouring water over her head. All in all, a wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

We Are Family

Meet Sarah, Derek, and Devin!

The other day I had the pleasure of photographing them. After venturing out into the snowy woods, we found a couple of cool places to stop and play. These people truly love being around each other - it's contagious. They've got a lot going on, but they know how to spend quality time together, and with Devin. There's always time for climbing trees and jumping off rocks. Sarah and Derek are getting married in July 2008 and the celebrating has already started.

As a photographer, I consider myself very lucky to be welcomed into peoples' families for the period of time I spend with them. Just hanging out allows everyone to get comfortable with the presence of the camera and I get to witness moments I would not otherwise get to see.

Hello, my friend, hello

Don't hate me for quoting Neil Diamond. There's a lot of pressure in coming up with something witty to start off a blog. I wanted a place where I could stay in touch with people, and my photography. With this blog, I'm able to update my portfolio and share my photos without having to harass the patient guy on the other side of the country in charge of my official website. I've never blogged before and am not ashamed to say I had my good friend Dorie assist me in setting up this account, which ended up being the smart thing to do when I couldn't figure out how to log back in to it. Oops. There wasn't even wine involved. This will be the first time I actually post photos. Here goes nothing...

These are some of the greatest guys I know.

This is a photo of Zehara, a belly dancer, and her snake Manasa. I took photos of them recently and all the photos look great. It was such a wonderful experience. I absolutely became fascinated with photographing the snake - he looked good in all his photos! Just look at that tongue!

This is Krista Baroni, a singer/songwriter, who as you can see is extremely beautiful and photogenic. Taking pictures of her is always a fun experience and we both enjoy experimenting with the shoot, whether it's with make-up, location, or weather!

I think this has been a successful first blog. I had a shoot yesterday that I need to work on and then I can post some of my favorite photos from that! Thanks for reading.
