Dancing at Discos, Eating Cheese on Toast

Haley is in the same class as my sister, so when I took Tessa's senior photos, Haley joined in, too! I think it's great to bring along a friend to your session. Haley & Tessa each got their own shoot, but they were together, which made it a little more comfortable (and goofy). I had each girl bring a "casual" outfit and a "fancy" outfit so they could change up their look midway through our session. We even had someone helping out with hair & make-up! Not that either girl needed much help (although Tessa did have her hair straightened). So, without further ado, here are some of my favorites of Haley...

I Want To Be The One To Walk In The Sun

Her favorite nickname for me is "the anal dictator" because apparently she thinks I'm bossy. She likes to drape herself all over me and call me "sis" because she knows it drives me crazy. But, I guess that's what little sisters are for, even when there's a 16 year age difference. Tessa is going to be a high school senior next year so we spent an afternoon recently taking some senior pictures. So much fun! Let me tell you something, no matter how annoying she is, I can't deny that she's gorgeous! Here's the proof:

A little personality...


Tessa has inherited many things from me, one of which is a strange addiction to America's Next Top Model. She really knows how to rock the broken doll, even if it's only for a minute before she collapses in laughter.



I wish I had those gorgeous eyes. I also wish I had her height, but that's a different post altogether.


Sigh.

Let's Go to the Movies, Let's Go See The Stars

This photo is from of a senior session I had this fall and since I'm now experimenting with textures, I thought I would post an example. I really like the added "noise" in this one. It didn't change the color too much, but added a certain something. Very cool. You might need to make it large in order to really see the details.


I hope everyone is having a wonderful new year so far! I have been in total movie mode in preparation for awards season which kicks off with the Golden Globes on January 13th (which is also Doug's birthday). Today I had a double-header - "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" and "Charlie Wilson's War." Out of the seventeen movies originally on my list, I have seen eight. Not bad. I've still got nine days to go...

Green-eyed Lady, Lovely Lady

I took Rebecca's senior photos back before the snow and, although she wore a few different outfit combinations, I love the way this one looks. I am totally a hat girl, so I love the hat. And all the colors she's wearing show off the color of her hair and her eyes. When I was a senior, I definitely couldn't coordinate that well, despite the fact that when I turned 15, my aunt took me to the mall to have my colors done.

Halfway to Work and Halfway Home

Happy Belated Thanksgiving! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday, and their holiday weekend. I had the best intentions of getting up wicked early on Friday morning and hitting any one of the "early bird specials" but chose to sleep in a little instead. Today was my consumer fun day, although I don't really feel like I made a dent in my shopping list. However, I did buy two new pairs of tights for an outift I need to wear later this week. Let's hope at least one of them fits/goes. Also, you may remember I went on my road trip - got back safe and sound Tuesday night. My friend and I did such a great job driving (she drove, I navigated - like a rock star) and we managed to avoid any major rush hour/holiday traffic until we got about ten miles away from home. It took three hours to finish the last ten miles or so. Are you KIDDING me? We're lucky we didn't kill each other, ourselves, or anyone else on the road. The trip was fabulous though. I drank from the Fountain of Youth, so don't expect me to age any from here on in, plus we stopped at a Civil War battleground in North Carolina, which was really cool. My friend Meg and I travel well together because we both love history, so we love stopping at all sorts of wacky random historical sites off the highway. I took a bunch of photos, so once I go through them, I'll post some.

To hold you over, here's a senior photo I took before my trip. Jane was a great model, and although she donned a couple of outfits, I think this one was my favorite. Also, I'm a huge fan of hats.



Just in case you hadn't noticed, it's officially Christmas season! That means I can listen to my Christmas music now without being ashamed!

They Send You Off To College, Try To Gain a Little Knowledge

Senior photos are so much fun to shoot! I photographed Dominique last weekend at the Old Grist Mill in Sudbury. We had gorgeous fall weather and took advantage of our location. Dominique was such a good sport about it all - sit here, sit here, climb onto that, etc. We only got yelled at by a man in a colonial costume once. That's fine. Whatever. I am so thrilled with the way the photos came out. Dominique looks gorgeous, happy, and ready for college! She and her family are going to have tons of photos to choose from - good luck!
